FAQ / Troubleshooting

1. Power and Startup Issues

  • Stove won’t start: Check that the stove is plugged in, breaker/fuse is good, and the wall thermostat is calling for heat.

  • No power to display: Confirm outlet power with another device; check the stove’s fuse on the control board.

2. Ignition Problems

  • Pellets not lighting: Make sure the igniter is glowing. If not, the igniter may be burned out or the igniter cradle dirty.

  • Weak flame or delayed ignition: Clean the burn pot holes thoroughly, and ensure you’re using dry, premium pellets.

3. Feed System

  • Pellets not feeding: Check hopper for jams or “bridging” (pellets forming an arch). Inspect the auger motor and vacuum switch—if there’s no proper vacuum, the auger won’t turn.

  • Overfeeding (large pile of pellets): Inspect control board feed settings; check if the ESP (Exhaust Sensing Probe) is dirty and giving wrong readings.

4. Poor Flame / Dirty Glass

  • Lazy or sooty flame: Air intake might be restricted—clean ash traps, venting, and check for blockages.

  • Excessive glass blackening: Usually too little air (restricted combustion fan, blocked venting, or damp pellets).

5. Error Codes (EASY Touch Control)

  • The XXV-TC uses the touchscreen panel that can show errors like:

    • Vacuum switch error → blocked vent, door gasket leak, or ash buildup.

    • ESP probe error → dirty or failed probe.

    • Igniter error → igniter not heating or miswired.

6. Noise and Mechanical Issues

  • Squealing or grinding: Auger motor or combustion blower bearings may be wearing out.

  • Rattling: Check for loose panels, hopper lid, or foreign objects in auger.
